About GSMblog

I've dedicated this site to getting the most out of your cell phone. I've always been interested in the use of cell phones and getting them to do what you want them to do. I've now finally got around to starting a masters project, and it's GSM-related (yay) so there will probably be more technical stuff in this blog in the future. I also recommend checking out my essays and articles available at vanntett.net. My previous phone was a Nokia N80, so a lot of the content on this site is N80 related. I prefer Nokia phones, so most of the examples are Nokia related. My current phones are a Nokia N95 8GB and a Neo FreeRunner, so you will be finding more OpenMoko stuff here in the future. I use Ubuntu on the desktop and Debian as a server, so most articles will use Debian and/or Ubuntu. Any explanations of how to do things on Windows will be on Windows XP.

I will try to provide all of the information both in Norwegian and English. Use the links on the left hand side of the page, or below articles to switch language.

Also feel free to comment any article I post here, and also to give me feedback if you successfully or unsuccessfully use any of the information here.
