In computer programming, a widget (or control) is an element of a graphical user interface (GUI) that displays an information arrangement changeable by the user, such as a window or a text box. The defining characteristic of a widget is to provide a single interaction point for the direct manipulation of a given kind of data. Widgets are basic visual building blocks which, combined in an application, hold all the data processed by the application and the available interactions on this data.

Updated widsets

The GSMBLOG.net widsets have been updated and several errors corrected. The largest improvement is the fact that the Norwegian widset now actually show Norwegian characters. I have also fixed a bug in the source preventing the latest articles from being shown and fixed a couple of small error that prevented the RSS feed from being validated. I will soon publish an article on barcode encoding tools for 2D barcodes, and the test of the 5 last barcode readers. The barcode game will also get new access points soon.

GSMBLOG.net available on widsets

GSMBLOG.net is now available as a widset widget for your phone. Available in both English and Norwegian. Klikk the link below to add it to your widset collection, or to find out more about widsets.
